At ADAPT Chiropractic & Rehab, treatment is tailored to the individual. Depending on your assessment, goals and preferences, care may incorporate chiropractic treatment, assisted fascial stretching, focused soft tissue therapy and rehabilitation.
Our focus is on helping you move better, function better and stay active.
Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic care at ADAPT takes a movement and function-focused approach.
Treatment begins with an assessment to better understand your concerns, how you move and the physical demands of your everyday life. From there, an individualized treatment plan can be developed around your needs and goals.
Chiropractic care may include:
- Joint mobilization and manipulation
- Movement and functional assessment
- Mobility work
- Soft tissue techniques
- Assisted stretching
- Exercise and rehabilitation
- Education and strategies for managing your condition
Whether you're dealing with a recent injury, recurring discomfort, reduced mobility or looking to maintain an active lifestyle, the goal is to help improve function and build confidence in movement.
Fascial Stretching
Sometimes improving movement requires more than focusing on a single joint or muscle.
Assisted fascial stretching uses practitioner-guided movements and stretches to work through different areas of the body and address restrictions in mobility.
Unlike traditional static stretching, assisted stretching allows your practitioner to guide your body through different positions and ranges of motion while adjusting the stretch based on how you move and feel.
Fascial stretching may be incorporated into care to help:
- Improve flexibility and mobility
- Address areas that feel tight or restricted
- Support comfortable movement
- Prepare the body for exercise and activity
- Complement chiropractic care and rehabilitation
- Support recovery following physical activity
It can be particularly useful for active individuals, athletes, desk workers and anyone looking to improve or maintain their mobility.
Focused Soft Tissue Therapy
Soft Tissue Therapy is a targeted, hands-on approach to areas of muscle and soft tissue that may feel tight, sensitive or restricted.
Rather than a general full-body massage, treatment is directed toward specific areas identified through your assessment and based on your individual needs.
Treatment may incorporate:
- Targeted soft tissue techniques
- Myofascial techniques
- Trigger point therapy
- Instrument-assisted soft tissue techniques
- Mobility techniques
- Assisted stretching
Focused soft tissue therapy can be incorporated alongside chiropractic care and rehabilitation to help improve mobility, address areas of restriction and support comfortable movement.
The goal is to consider not only where you're experiencing discomfort, but how the area may be affecting your overall movement and function.
Rehabilitation & Exercise
Rehabilitation is an important part of the ADAPT approach and may be incorporated throughout your care.
Exercises are selected based on your assessment, current abilities and goals and may focus on improving:
- Mobility
- Strength
- Stability
- Movement control
- Balance and coordination
- Tolerance to work, exercise and everyday activities
Your rehabilitation can progress as your function improves, helping you build the capacity and confidence needed to return to the activities that are important to you.
An Integrated Approach
You don't necessarily need to know which type of treatment you need before your appointment.
Following your assessment, we'll discuss which combination of chiropractic care, fascial stretching, focused soft tissue therapy, rehabilitation and education may be appropriate for you.
The goal is to go beyond addressing symptoms—to help you move better, build capacity and stay active.
