Meet Dr. Kris

A Movement-Focused Approach to Chiropractic Care

Dr. Krishan (Kris) Nadarajah is a registered chiropractor focused on helping people manage musculoskeletal concerns, move more comfortably and confidently, and stay active in the things that matter to them.

He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois, after completing a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois.

Before practising in Ontario, Dr. Kris worked as a chiropractor in Bloomingdale, Illinois, where he treated patients with a variety of musculoskeletal concerns and gained experience working alongside other healthcare professionals.

His approach combines careful assessment, hands-on treatment, movement and progressive rehabilitation rather than relying on a single treatment technique.

Approach to Care

Better function. Better living.

At ADAPT Chiropractic & Rehab, care starts with understanding what is bothering you, how you move and what you need your body to be able to do.

Treatment is individualized based on your assessment, goals and preferences. Depending on your needs, care may include chiropractic manipulation or mobilization, focused soft tissue therapy, assisted stretching, mobility work, exercise rehabilitation and education.

Whether your goal is getting through the workday more comfortably, returning to the gym or sport, recovering from an injury, or simply maintaining an active lifestyle, your care plan is built around helping you work toward those goals.

More Than Symptom Relief

Understand the Problem. Improve the Function.

Pain is often what brings someone into the clinic, but treatment doesn't have to stop when symptoms begin to improve.

Assessment looks at the areas involved in your complaint as well as relevant movement, mobility, strength and functional limitations.

Hands-on treatment may be used to address pain and mobility, while rehabilitation progressively works on the strength, control and physical capacity needed for the activities you want to return to.

The goal is to move from managing the immediate problem toward improving what your body can comfortably and confidently do.

Move. Strengthen. Adapt.

Rehabilitation Is Part of the Process

Movement and exercise are important components of care at ADAPT.

When appropriate, rehabilitation is incorporated into treatment and progressed according to your presentation and goals. This may include mobility exercises, strengthening, movement retraining and strategies for gradually returning to work, exercise, sport or other activities.

Rather than simply giving you a list of exercises, the goal is to choose movements that have a clear purpose and progress them as your abilities and needs change.

As your symptoms and function change, your care should adapt with you.

Prevention Through Movement & Education

Giving You Tools Beyond the Treatment Room

You don't necessarily need to wait for a new injury to think about how your body is handling the demands you place on it.

Education is an important part of care at ADAPT. Depending on your needs, this may include guidance around exercise, mobility, ergonomics, work habits, activity modification, recovery and strategies you can use independently.

The aim is to help you better understand your condition, recognize factors that may be contributing to it and know what you can do outside of your appointments.

We want you to be an active participant in your care—not dependent on treatment.

Care Built Around You

Your Goals Help Guide Your Care

There isn't one definition of successful treatment.

For one person, the goal may be returning to the gym or competitive sport. For another, it may be sitting through a workday more comfortably, keeping up with their children, getting back to a favourite activity or simply feeling more confident with everyday movement.

Your assessment helps establish where you're starting. Your goals help determine where we're going.

Treatment and rehabilitation can then be adjusted as your symptoms, function and goals change.
